Farewell to Vintage Vogue

The American retirement list includes Vintage Vogue so there is a fair chance that it will retire from the Aussie cattie too.  I shall miss this set as it is one of my "go to" sets whenever I need to whip up a card. Here is my card for tonight.
Very simple card.  The flowers from Vintage Vogue are stamped in Cherry Cobbler and Soft Suede on Very Vanilla card stock and cut out.  The centres have been punched out of either Cherry Cobbler or Soft Suede card stock using the circle from the Owl Punch and the Crop-o-Dile (also retiring).  I have attached them with TomBow glue and dimensionals. As a final touch to give them some more bling I have used Crystal Effects on the centres.
The background stamps are all from the Creative Elements set.  I have stamped in Soft Suede and Crumb Cake inks.  In order to make the brown flowers pop a little I have also daubed their petals with Soft Suede.
I distressed the outer edge of the card and daubed with Soft Suede ink. The greeting is from You're Cherished and stamped in Cherry Cobbler to balance the layout.  I added Pearl Jewels to opposing corners and sprayed the whole card with Champagne Shimmer Mist diluted with rubbing alcohol.
I will be really devastated when this set retires. Whilst its a keeper for me it will be hard not using it in demonstrations and workshops.  If you haven't purchased Vintage Vogue yet and have been meaning to, contact me today so that I can order your set.

Back soon
